I just want to share my experience of being asked to attend an appointment with the doctor for biopsy result.

I found a breast lump on my left breast. I was referred to the breast clinic by GP. I was then given physical examination, an ultrasound and biopsy.

I have done a core biopsy, which the consultant told me there is a high chance the lump is benign. The core biopsy result was B1 and non conclusive as it was close to the chest wall and they will need to do the fine needle biopsy to test. Then, I repeated the procedure again on a Saturday . I was told i will receive the result by phone call on Wednesday/ Thursday. I waited with no call until Friday. I received an email early morning asking me to attend an appointment in the hospital the next day to meet doctor. I was totally stressed out, and look for all information online and prepared myself for bad result. I can't eat, can't sleep and checking google all day long.

The next day, i met the doctor. The result was C3 - atypical, probably benign. That is the reason he called for a face to face appointment to discuss the result and asked me to come back for ultrasound for 3 months.

I just hope those who received a call for further appointment not to stressed out for now.
