Supraclavicular Lymph Node - Left Side

Recently had my 4th Pfizer booster and 2 days later i now have a sore and swollen area on my left clavicle (same side as injection site). Also feel a lump about 2 fingertips in length. Reporting this from the UK.

Should I see my GP? Just slightly worried. Seen a lot of reports of this in the US and mainly in women, i'm 39 and female. Not much in the UK and had 0 issues with 1st 3 doses!

Can't seem to see how to post a picture of the swollen area.

  • Hi Janette83,

There is no harm in giving your GP a call if you have concerns about this - either now or in a few days' time if things haven't improved.

Unfortunately it's not possible to post photos on the forum and also the only place to get any answers for symptoms would be with your doctor so do speak to them if you continue to be concerned.

    All the best,

  • Hi

last year in my 3rd booster I also got a lump over left collarbone, still there 4 months later so had ultrasound and was nothing. As a cancer survivor already I panicked rang my hospital nurse who said lots of ladies were ringing with the same thing, she to had lump in armpit, thinks mine was collarbone cos the needle was put in really high virtually on my shoulder. Always best to check with gp but maybe abit less worried xx

  • Thanks so much for your response. I called my GP and could only get to speak to a nurse (as is usual these days). She said to leave it a week and I have an appt on Monday to see her to get it checked. The lump I can no longer feel, however, the swelling around my left clavicle is still apparent.

It's not sore, itchy, warm to the touch or anything like that. I have not had any infections or fevers recently so just now worried about the swelling and why it's still there.

I have never had cancer but have had a lot of issues with my left lung like pneumonia which required hospital treatment for 3 days and numerous chest infections (same side as swelling) so I am just hoping it is nothing sinister.

Hopefully on Monday she's says it's nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed .
