I had a biopsy taken in July as my smear detected high grade precancerous cells

when I got the results they told me everything was ok and they would contact me with a follow up appointment 

I had a second biopsy taken 3 days ago as not enough healthy tissue was taken first time round 

I am experiencing more discomfort this time and discharge which smells even after having a shower 

is this normal? 
the pain I'm having is like a stinging sensation inside
