Will CT scan show if there is cancer?

Hi,

Yesterday my husband saw the urologist, he put a camera into his bladder, nothing to see there thank goodness, but his prostate is enlarged with some hard parts , my husband is having a CT tomorrow, my question is will that CT show if there is cancer, he has said he needs to have a blood test as well,My husband is having these tests because he has been having issues with his bladder for ages,
