Tonsil cancer

Hello, I've had recurring tonsillitis for years. I would constantly suffer from tonsillitis about 10+ times a year. I would be given antibiotics which eased the pain but my tonsils always remained enlarged. I was admitted to hospital and spent a week there and was told I had glandular fever. After being given antibiotics on iv I got better within a few days but my tonsils went back to being enlarged shortly after. It has always been my left tonsil that has been swollen and currently tonsils have been swollen for a few months but are painless, I do not have difficulty swallowing or any changes in my voice. However my dad has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 throat cancer. Is there a chance I could have cancer too as I am getting a test in the next 2 weeks. I am only a teenager and was wondering if it was possible that I could have it. I am very worried.
