Hello i am just looking for some advice and just wondering if anyone has been through samiliar.

I had a smear test about 4 weeks ago. I was worrying as my results haven't been sent out to me and with my 1st smear test at 25 I was sent out my results within 2 weeks and everything came back normal. So now I'm 28 and I was waiting on my results. The smear test I had recently did hurt more than I could remember previously and I had bleeding and pain in my back and pelvis after having the test.

Anyways I haven't had any results back but yesterday I was sent a text by the nhs with an appointment booked in for the end of October for a colposcopy. So I am guessing my results have come back abnormal? Or something. I am just wondering if this is normal to have an appointment booked in for a colposcopy before you get your smear test results back? I will be ringing my Dr's in the morning to find out my results and why I have the colposcopy appointment but it does seem a bit confusing at the moment without any results.
