Worried about results

Hi, so I have been waiting 6 weeks now for my cervical biopsy results and I have been feeling very nervous and worried about this, today I have taken off work as my legs are in so much pain they're just thrubbing has anyone else this? They have been sore for a few months now. I don't know why it's taking so long and I'm not sure if I should ring my docter or not? Just feeling so tired all the time and being sore. It's getting ridiculous now this wait! I know there's loads they have to look at etc, everyone keeps saying to me "no news is good news" but I'm not sure if I believe that, when I got the biopsy done my cervix was so white like a circle of it, did anyone else have that?

  • Hello Anongiirl

I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting for cervical biopsy results at the moment. We know that waiting for results can be a difficult time for many people and it's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

As it's been a good few weeks now I certainly don't think there's any harm in giving the clinic or your GP a call to see if they know how long you may be waiting. At least if you have a time scale then you may feel a little less anxious about the wait.

Hopefully, the results will bring some reassuring news soon. Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Jenn!

thank you for getting back to me, yes I rang my gp today to see if they had any update at all on it, they said they haven't and it's Normal that I haven't got anything yet as over the summer time a lot of consultants Have their holidays etc and haven't got the feedback yet, but she said if it's still the same in a week or so she will ring the hospital up and see? I'm not sure if I should just do so myself. My mum says that "no news is good news" but still feel anxious and such.

    thank you
