I'm sorry to hear that since your treatment for cervical cancer you've had some ongoing bowel problems. It's understandable that you're now feeling anxious about the FIT test results and your upcoming colonoscopy. 

It's important to remember that there could be many reasons that blood was found in your stool so whilst it's easy to jump to a "but what if worst-case conclusion" try and keep positive. Worrying won't change the outcome but it will leave you feeling worse in the meantime. 

We know that this period of waiting and uncertainty can be difficult for many people. It can help to talk things through with someone and I wonder if you'd find it useful to chat with one of our team of nurses. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.
