another colonoscopy

Hi I’m just wondering if anyone can help me as I’m slightly confused - I had a colonoscopy several weeks ago, looked ok but 13 biopsies were taken. Didn’t hear anything so wasn’t concerned. Returned back from holiday to a letter saying I have to go back in again. I questioned this as I thought it was clear but they said that some things can’t be seen on the camera, just on the biopsy. My Mum came with me for the last one and she said that the nurse mentioned that I had some polyps (I don’t remember it as I was still coming round after maximum sedation). Before I went in they said that if they found any polyps they’d be removed there & then but nothing was taken apart from 12 biopsies. Can anyone shed any light on what I could potentially be facing please?

  • Hello Fortune

I'm sorry to hear that you've been recalled following your recent colonoscopy. It's understandable that you may be feeling worried about this.

It's impossible for us to say for what reason the team has asked to see you again. Hopefully, when you go to the next appointment they will be bale to give you some clear answers and reassurance about the next steps.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
