Thickened endometrium

I'm beside myself with worry right now...I don't know if anyone can relate? Last year I had an ultrasound scan and my endometrium was 4 2mm. They repeated it 6 months later and it was exactly the same so they were happy to leave it as long as there was no bleeding which there hadn't been. A couple of weeks ago I thought just maybe there was the slightest beige tinge to discharge and mentioned  to gp who did examination after which I did definitely bleed (it really hurt!) Had ultrasound and they rang today to say it was 9mm and awaiting hysteroscopy.  Its doubled since last Christmas! I struggle with health anxiety anyway and this is just sending me over the edge. I can't stop crying and thinking the worst..

  • Hello Elibett

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some health concerns and that you're now waiting for further investigation. We know that for many people this period of uncertainty can be difficult and it's natural to feel anxious about things.

Often people find that *** can help to talk through their concerns and fears with someone else and I wonder if you might find it beneficial to chat with our team of nurses. I'm sure they would be happy to offer any advice, information, and support that they can. If you'd like to speak with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm (excluding bank holidays) on 0808 800 4040.

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for your next set of tests and the results will bring some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
