Lump on chest wall ?

Hi,

I found a lump on my upper breast / pectoral muscle in November 2021. At the time I had it investigated via ultrasound and it showed normal breast tissue. I still have this lump almost a year on and it doesn't seem to have changed, but I'm really anxious not knowing what it is and whether it was misdiagnosed.

Does anyone else have experience of this? It is about 5-7cm, firm and non moving. It seems to be in a fixed position on my chest rather than in my breast. I also have PCOS which I started taking the estrogen based pill to sort out, and was hoping the lump was hormone related but its not going away.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks

  • Welcome to the forum Sophia although I'm sorry that the lump you discovered last year hasn't gone away and for the anxiety it is causing.

The good thing is that it hasn't changed but as it's still there and causing you to worry then there's no harm in going back to your GP to explain this and to find out what can be done to get it diagnosed.

Hopefully some of our members will offer their support and advice to you soon but in the meantime, we're thinking of you Sophia and hope you're able to get some answers and peace of mind soon.

    Kind regards,
