I had a loop excision done 15 years ago for high grade CIN. I was in my 20s.

At the time, I had light red/pink bleeding between periods and after intercourse. That's what took me to the doctors. They told me the bleeding was not connected as apparently high grade CIN does not cause abnormal bleeding. However I had abnormal bleeding which stopped after the loop excision. I also tested positive for the HPV at the time. 

Normal results since then. 
 

Now I have symptoms again and I will be going to the doctor. 
 

I have had a constant, thick discharge (sometimes with pink blood in it, but not every day) since my last period (2 weeks ago). The discharge has no smell whatsoever. I very rarely have discharge on my knickers, let alone with pinky blood in it, so this is very unusual for me. 
 

When I had high grade CIN before, I had pink bleeding but no pain and no discharge. 
 

I have intermittent lower back pain during these last 2 weeks too, some days it's so bad I wake up with it and its hard to get up. But it comes and goes. Sometimes not there at all. Sometimes mild. Sometimes on and off throughout the day. 
 

Today, it's also coming and going at the top of one leg and a weird intermittent sensation/pain in my lower abdomen. Also a 'sick' feeling, which is not exactly nausea but rather a 'sickly' feeling. 
 

My last smear was a year ago, but they didn't test the cells, they just tested for the virus. That was negative. A year ago, I had EXCRUIATING  periods for a couple of months (very unusual for me), but that stopped so I didn't have any tests. 
 

I've recently had STD tests done - all came back negative - and I haven't been intimate with anyone since. 
 

While I wait for my appointment, my question is: what were your first symptoms of cervical cancer? And, did anyone have my symptoms which turned out to be nothing?
