Subpleural nodule on upper right lung.

Hi,

Just looking for some advice/possible reassurance.

I have previously had testicular cancer in 2017 and have since completed my five year surveillance. Following on from a routine chest X-ray earlier on this year, a subpleural lesion was found in my upper right lung. I'm still waiting for a CT scan appointment due to a backlog of patients and was only informed of the lesion three weeks ago. I have had a dull ache running down from my collarbone and into my chest for the last couple of months. I'm quite nervous despite having had a lot of tests etc over the last five years. Any one on here experienced similar within a similar lung location?

any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

  • It's great to hear you recently completed your 5 year surveillance Peteted; such amazing news, although I'm sorry you're still waiting for a CT scan to investigate what was was found on your lung earlier this year.

I really do hope an appointment comes through for you soon but if you'd like to talk things through with someone whilst you wait then you're very welcome to give our cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very friendly, and helpful, and will do all they can to answer any questions you may have and put your mind at ease.

I'm sure you will receive a lot of support from the community and get to hear about their experiences soon as well but in the meantime, we're thinking of you Peteted and we'll have our fingers crossed for good news when the time comes.

    Kind regards,
