Just an update. I went for my appointment this morning. The surgeon couldn't feel the lump but I was laid down. As soon as I sat up, the lady doing the ultra sound could feel it. She scanned the area and said it looked like fat necrosis or a bruise. She was going to do a biopsy and was expecting to see blood to confirm her suspicion. If it was breast tissue in the biopsy, she would be unsure of what the lump was. The lump was just tissue  

She did 2 biopsies and put a marker in. I have an appointment to go back on 03.10.2022 for the results. The sonographer was really honest and said she was on the fence. It presented like fat necrosis but she couldn't be sure with the biopsy. She scanned the rest of the breast and was confident there were no further issues in the breast or lymph nodes (a positive).

I'm just really shaken by it and have another wait. Anyone with a similar experience (good or otherwise).

I was referred 5 weeks ago will be 6 weeks on Friday. I haven't been given a date for my appointment yet. I did contact my doctors when she phoned the breast clinic they said that over 40s get and appointments straight away where as under 40s have to wait 6 weeks or longer before they are contacted about an appointment. On Friday I will be phoning up to see if I have been given an appointment or if I am still waiting. I am still abit all over the place, some days are better than others and I'm not 100% sure if I have felt something under my breast (same one my lump is in) too scared to check again at the minute it felt like a little bead sort of thing. But I will check again in a few days just to make sure. 

You are so brave; I'm glad that the lump was just tissue and i'm glad that you know when you will get the results for the biopsies. You have been very brave through this. If you want a chat i'm here. Xx

I'm so sorry to hear you are still waiting. Have you been to see the doctor again about the changes in recent weeks? 

Thank you, that's really kind. I'll drop you a message. The sonographer wasn't expecting to see breast tissue so was on the fence. She said it could be something, but it also could be nothing to worry about. The only way to know for sure is when the biopsy results come back. I think that un-nerved me more. I was hoping to hear from others that had a similar lump and what their diagnosis was.

Yes I've been back and forth the doctors every other week, to get re checked ect. I have been phoning the breast clinic every 2 weeks. I will be phoning them again on Friday. 

No problem at all. Drop me a message any time. I will keep you updated with when I hear something. Fingers crossed I get an appointment soon. I did ask about a cancellation list and was told that cancelled appointments get offered to the next person on the list.

I bet that un-nerved you, fingers crossed others who have had a similar lump get back to you on this thread. I have everything crossed for you that it is good news for you.

I am doing ok just abit drained with chasing everything up, its the fear of not knowing when my appointment will be and not knowing what this is, but for now I am focusing on getting the appointment date. I have been trying to keep myself busy I make wax melts and enjoy going for walks so using that to distract while I am waiting for this appointment.
