Just looking a little advice/reassurance

Ive had problems with my waterworks for a long time now, always put it down to getting a little older and a bit of incontinence. Still having problems, but never sought help from my gp as i dont really get on with him. Today when passing water i passed out a little stone.

I also suffer from anxiety and derpression and severe emphysema.

I have recently been losing some weight unintentionally.  Two weeks ago i weighed myself and i was 7st 12lb, weighed myself today and was 7st 8lb.

Ive put my weight losss down to my anxiety and emphysema, but someone has told me that the problems that i have with my passing water, and weight loss could be due to a enlarged prostate,or at worse prostate cancer.

Considering going to see my gp at some point, but i really dont want to see him, i feel he doesnt listen or even believe some of the things i have sought help for in the past. Having seen my medical records recently i have seen where he has put notes saying nos (no obvious signs) regarding my anxiety and depression although i am on medications for it.

Im 60 yrs old and approx 5ft 10" tall.

According to the nhs website it says my bmi is 15.1 and says i should ideally weigh between 9st 3lb and 12st 7lb

Any idea's what might be going on?

  • Sorry to hear you are suffering with anxiety. I am the same and have trouble with my Dr's taking me seriously. It sounds as though it could be kidney / bladder stones. I would take a chance and go to the Dr. Failing that, you could potentially get some urine test strips from Amazon and check your white blood cell count. I had testing strips myself and took it to the Dr with me and although he did the test again I was reassured he was taking me seriously.

hope that it resolves itself soon x
