Breast clinic tomorrow

Hi

My first time here. I have an appointment at breast clinic tomorrow after noticing a lump in my armpit and some dimpling on my left breast when I raise my arm. The GP said the armpit lump was an enlarged lymph node, however this has gone doen a bit since but the dimpling is still there. Only when I raise my arm. I can't feel a lump in the breast.

I keep flitting between thinking its nothing and I'm wasting their time to the next day thinking its going to be something bad.

I'm worried because my sister has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer in her 30s (im also in my 30s).

  • Welcome to the forum Pea123 although I'm sorry about the symptoms you've been contending with and for the worry this is causing.

Many of our members know how scary this can be, especially when a loved one has recently been diagnosed in the same area, so you are not alone and hopefully you will receive some support and advice from them soon.

In the meantime, I just wanted to wish you all the best for tomorrow and let you know we're thinking of you. If you have any questions or just want to talk things through with someone then do give our cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
