Hello. I just registered in this forum. Also, please excuse me for my bad English. I will try to briefly impoverish my concerns. It all started more than a month ago, when I felt unwell. Temperature around 37..38, night chills and cold sweats. I thought it was just a cold or the flu, but at the end of the second week I started having a terrible cough along with a terrible stench of rot coming from my lungs. In the emergency room they took an x-ray and the doctor said he could see a round spot about 5cm in the upper right lung. She also said that this very similar to tuberculosis. But how? I have BCG!!! I sent sputum for a microbiological examination, which did not show a bacteriological infection. I did a 10-day course of broad-spectrum antibiotics and everything went away. After 10 days I visited a consultant who did a CT scan. He said there are four possible causes for this - simple pneumonia, lung abscess, tuberculosis or cancer. I also have a bronchoscopy in three days. That's all I know. I don't have any more information, but I can't sleep, I'm not eating and I'm worried that it's cancer. How long will it take to find out what my diagnosis is? What's the chance it's not cancer? At home, no one dares to mention this word, but I can see the worry in everyone's eyes. Thank you.
