Newbie - looking for support x

Hi, I'm just posting for some general support and answers whilst I anxiously await some potential cancer results.. I'm 23 and I've recently been screened due to having some ongoing symptoms for the past few months (spotting, lower tummy and back pain, tender pulling feeling in my tummy, constant need to urinate, slight constipation, watery discharge, pain and bleeding after sex, weight loss, tiredness etc etc.) I called my doctor and they booked me straight in, I'm awaiting the PAP results and she referred me to a gyno within two weeks as she said my cervix had a some bleeding and was inflamed with a white film around it. I know it could be something else but my heart is telling me to prepare for cervical cancer just in case - I was just hoping for a bit of support and other stories so I can prepare for everything x thank you

  • Hi Tikasp and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about all the symptoms you've been experiencing over the last few months but I'm glad you managed to see your GP pretty quickly to get this looked at.

Waiting for results is always a very tense and anxious time but our members are here for you and I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer you their support. I hope the advice given in this article will help keep your nerves at bay as well.

We're thinking of you Tikasp and will have our fingers crossed your results bring good news when they come through.

    All the best,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
