Heavy bleeding for 4 months, and still no answers

Hi I'm looking for some advice.

I was bleeding heavy for three weeks and telephoned my doctor who referred me to see the nurse at the surgery.  The nurse advised me that nothing would be done unless I had been bleeding for three months and didn't do any examination.  So I left and the bleeding continued for nearly four months and got so bad that without warning I would have so much blood it soaked through super tampons and clothing.  I telephoned the doctor again who this time agreed to see me and she carried out an internal and external examination.  The doctor then told me she would arrange a CT scan of my abdomen as I have been having ongoing issues with my stomach for over a year were I was diagnosed with having ibs and constipation due to anxiety and stress.  I have suffered with really bad bloating of my stomach for some years now and it got worse which resulted in the ibs and constipation diagnosis a year ago.

Due to the bleeding I was sent for a blood test which shower low ferritin so the doctor prescribed me ferrous fummerate.  I have also been suffering with really extreme lower back pain to the point that when I walk it feels like something tightens round my spine and stops me moving properly were in can't even bend forward.  I also have had all over body aches and extreme tiredness due to the blood loss which got so bad I had to go to the hospital twice and was prescribed buscopan and ibuprofen.  The doctor who seen me at the hospital said he could see how much pain I was in and when he examined me I almost jumped of the table in agony but he said he didn't know what it was and that o was to chase up my scan with the GP.

I was also put on northesterone three times a day to stop the bleeding but wasn't told to stop them so I ended up on them for 24 days and my friend said I should phone up the doctor again for advice and he told me to stop them then start taking them again in 19 days after my period has stopped again.  I stopped them last Wednesday and I am bleeding red fresh blood continuously through super tampons after an hour sometimes sooner.  I am extremely worried about this now and so is my family they have noticed a change in me because I'm constantly tired to the point that I will go to sleep in the afternoon and sometimes go back to sleep after lying for a long time.  This has never been me usually once I wake I get up and can't go back to sleep.

Sorry for the massive post I have just been dealing with this for a long time and have probably still missed things out but wanted to give as much info as possible.  I have also been checked for menapause but was told that I'm too young at 40 and it wasn't that
