Re occurring abnormal cells cervical cancer

Hey, I'm wandering if anyone on here has had reoccurring abnormal cells.? I'm 34 and have had quite a few lletz procedures in the past due to CIN 2/3 and obviously hpv positive. My first abnormal smear was at 22, I was finally discharged 2 years ago but my recent smear hpv positive and abnormal cells again, my question is whether there is a limit on lletz procedures? I was previously asked if I wanted more children (prior to my last daughter), so would a hysterectomy be offered now? I'm usually okay with this as I'm so used to it but for some reason feel extra anxious this time. I've had a few symptoms but as with everything can also have another explanation so trying not to worry about that  just wanting to know more the treatment after the colposcopy/biopsies. Thankyou

I'm sorry to hear that your most recent cervical screening results show cell changes and HPV again. It's understandable that you have questions and concerns.

Some information is available on the Jo's Trust website about recurring cell changes. I'd suggest giving their Helpline a call to talk things through with them. I'm sure they will be able to give you some information ahead of your next appointment.

I hope that the clinical team is able to get things cleared up quickly for you.

    Best wishes,
