Waiting on a colposcopy - life insurance

Hello,

I've had an abnormal smear and since been to hospital a few times for various checks this is now my 2nd colposcopy appointment. I've been given no information about why I'm attending or what will happen but I'm just fearing the worst. I need to get a life insurance quote and have been asked about whether I am awaiting results etc what do you normally do in these situations? I want to be honest but I don't know enough.

    I'm sorry to hear you've been given no information about why you've been asked to attend a second colposcopy appointment. Maybe you could get in touch with your GP to see if they're able to chase this up for you and find out what's going on.

    Hopefully some of our members who have been in similar situations when needing to get a life insurance quote will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but it may be worth contacting the insurance company directly to discuss this in more detail. You may be able to get some advice from Macmillan too.
