I have lots of digestive issues and have had 3 gastroscopies in my life. They always take biopsies as this allows them to grade oesophagitis/gastritis which are often present (and usually asymptomatic and nothing to worry about). They also often test for the H. Pylori bacteria to see if you need antibiotics.
They said everything is ok so time to stop worrying. They would tell you if they were concerned. Any issues from the biopsies will be most likely be minor and require no interventions.
