Symptoms

Hi All,

I am hoping someone can shed some light for me.

For circa 15 years I have been suffering with fatigue and common cold which could last for weeks. This started after I had meningitis as a teenager. The Dr's put this down to ME/SLE or Chronic Fatigue.

My regular symptoms are

Fatigue

Muscle and back pain

Headaches

They have gotten progressively worse the older I am becoming.

Over the last 5 years the symptoms have regularly included,

Frequent Swollen Glands

Occassional night sweats

Rash back of head and back

They have been terrible for the last year, my regular symptoms now include.

Exhaustion constant - coffee/redbull do not work

Waking up more tired then I went to bed

Glands constant flare behind jaw and back of next/trap muscle

Some Glands flare up and down, arm pit, groin, chest but these come and go.

Regular night swets and chest palpitations which wake me up

Regular infuriating itching , head, soles of feet and back, particularly at night, also wake me up

Flu like feelings

My Dr's again tell me not to worry that's its most likely an autoimmune issue. Base bloods look good bar ige 1850 and Lymph 1.3. WCC and RBC are within limits.

My question, have people with lymphoma or similar issues had skin rashes which flare up and then go down but not disappear?

I was treated with strong predinselone meds and steroid creams which made the rash slightly better but I still feel terrible.

Would appreciate any help.

  • Hello LimitlessIndigo

I'm sorry that you've been dealing with ongoing health problems for quite some time. When you don't have a firm diagnosis that you can attribute your symptoms to it's easy to be concerned that there may be something serious responsible.

Have you discussed your concerns that this may be lymphoma, or cancer, with your Consultant/GP? Whilst they may not be able to give you exact answers about your condition, hopefully, they will be able to provide you with some reassurance about your cancer concerns.

I do hope that things improve for you and that the Dr's responsible for your care are able to give you some reassurance and support.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi, as you asked about lymphoma symptoms I will share my own experience, but bear in mind there are many different types and my lymphoma was a subtype. I never had a rash with my lymphoma at all...I did have dizziness upon standing though, severe back pain, coughs and colds and frequent tummy bugs, passing out or feeling an urgent need to lay down flat for a few minutes to compose myself. I had a lymphoma in my chest, non Hodgkin.

  • Thanks guys. Appreciate the response. I've just had a skin biopsy done. I'm now booked in for a colonoscaphy and a lymph node biopsy. I've also been referred onto a hematologist. Fingers crossed I get results soon.
