Obviously, this can be different hospital by hospital but where I live, biopsy results are always given in person. Also it is fairly normal for the appointment to say it is with the lead consultant. Usually it is them or a member of their team but usually that isn't allocated until a couple of days before.

Don't read too much into the method of communication. They are standard template letters (or texts as I've had in the past)

Thank you. I did ring and the hospital confirmed it was with the consultant this time. For the MRI results it was a nurse practitioner, so that's what panicked me.
