Lump on cervix & many symptoms

Hi,

I found a smooth small lump beside the opening of my cervix.
I'm really worried as I've also been having quite a lot of common symptoms of cervical cancer including blood in stool, dizziness, achiness as well as sore legs I'm 25 and absolutely frightened as im aware that it really isn't looking good for me!

Has anyone else had anything similar and had the all clear? if it is cancer, what stage will I be at if i have felt the lump? So many questions going through my head. i have a telephone appointment tomorrow and really want this to be a quick process but it never is these days so need to prepare myself!

  • As I noticed that your post received no replies I wanted to stop by and welcome you to the forum, Kaysk.

I'm sorry that you found a lump beside your cervix and that this is causing you to be worried.

You mentioned you were to have a telephone appointment yesterday, how did it go?

Hopefully, you have nothing to worry about but in any case, if you need a chat please remember we're just a click away.

    Best wishes,

  • Thank you!

After the telephone chat, I was booked in to be examined by my GP and she confirmed the lump is there. She didn't say much about it but I saw her screen and she clicked "suspected cervical cancer"

She didn't really say much after this. She didn't say it could be anything else either she just said I should have an appointment with the hospital within 2 weeks so I think I know the outcome :(

thank you for asking, it's nice to speak to someone about it.

  • Hi Kaysk, I wish you well and that your appointment comes through soon. I don't have any experience of what you found but can say I do understand the worries behind the quick referral. I am hoping you get some answers soon

    xx

  • Hi Kaysk

Try not to assume too much as this stage or assume a worst case scenario. There will be lots of tests to go through to come to a final diagnosis and you can't tell a stage from finding a lump.

The doctor has done the right thing in referring you quickly to find out more, and you shouldn't have long to wait. I had a fairly large cervical tumour, visible to the naked eye, when I was referred to the gynaecologist and I'm still here almost 4 years later having gone through cervical cancer and a recurrence.

Whatever is found, there will be a plan to treat it and if you need to chat, feel free to contact me. x

  • Hi

i am going through a similar situation and came across your post I just wondered how you got on ?

    thanks

  • Hi Kaysk

i thought I'd pop on as I've been through something similar with a lump near cervix. It turned out to be a Nabothian cyst which is completely harmless. I didn't have any other symptoms but has 2 smears since and all clear.

i hope this settles you somewhat. The panic is horrible

  • Hey everyone!

Thank you so much for all of you reassurance! It definitely helped me throughout the waiting period! I had my gynae check today and he said the lump was no longer there (very strange)! He said it was likely to be a cyst which has popped within the 2 weeks I have been waiting and is no longer a problem. Relieved is an understatement! Can't thank you all enough for your comments - hope you're all ok & also get the all clear if you've experience similar! ️

  • I am so happy to hear that you are okay! I can imagine how relieved you are!

  • Hi

Sorry to hear that. Did you get the answers you were looking for ?
