Red rash on breast worried sick

I've had a red rash now covering around a quarter of my breast for over a week. It doesn't itch the skin feels smooth and its not gotten any bigger. I saw a doctor who has prescribed antibiotics and will refer me to breast clinic after I get back from my holiday which is 2 weeks time if the antibiotics haven't worked. I have no lumps but some bruise like pain in what the doc said was my lymph nodes. I'm convinced I have IBC and can't stop crying I've tried using an anti fungal cream and hydrocortisone. I'm 34 with 2 kids youngest is almost 2. How can I relax and enjoy my holiday with this worry I can't sleep or anything.

    I'm sorry to hear of your worries - I can understand this uncertainty must be difficult to deal with. You've done the right thing in seeing the doctor and as there are already some next steps in place in terms of the referral (if needed), there is nothing that can be done in the meantime. Instead try to take things one day at a time, and stay present in what you're doing, focusing on enjoying your holiday and keeping busy.

    I know it's easier said than done but try not to assume anything at this point. Try to enjoy the trip and then if necessary you can speak to the doctor when you're back.
