Biopsy result lymphnode

Hello,

Jusy wondering if anyone can help me? I had a biopsy done on several lymph nodes in my armpit in the breast clinic on the first of august. I received an appointment letter by post for 4 weeks time last week, unfortunately I was away so have only opened it on Friday evening meaning I can't call them over the weekend. Has anyone else had to wait this long for bad news? Or is the fact it's so long good news? I have serious health anxiety and have previously had thyroid cancer so am very worried.

 

any advice would be greatly appreciated

    I wanted to welcome you to our forum and I hope that you will hear from others here who have also had to wait this long and that they will share their experience with you. It's normal to be worried while dealing with this long wait especially if you suffer from health anxiety and have had thyroid cancer before. 

    I don't think you can read anything into the fact that it's taking so long - sometimes delays happen for various reasons. But the long wait can be nerve racking and there are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for news. 

    You mentioned it's difficult to be able to get in touch with them over the weekend which must make things even more stressful for you. Perhaps you could try and contact them tomorrow morning? I hope you manage to speak to someone soon and that you get some definite answers. 

    Everything tightly crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.
