Hi everyone I am waiting for a colonoscopy I'm 42 year old mum I have had bowel changes for 2 months and suffered ibs for years I just wanted to ask why is there different bowel changes I had diarrhea for 3 weeks non stop now I have constipation and started feeling very dizzy and sick I know there's a problem but don't know what . I was supposed to have the 2 weeks appointment missed the hospital call mobile run out of battery now I haven't heard anything yet I'm worried they are going to put me back another 2 weeks

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your colonoscopy. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more. 

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be as there are so many different things that could explain your symptoms and the colonoscopy will be able to shed some light on what is going on. As you missed the hospital call, try and ring them again tomorrow just to make sure you haven't missed any important information they wanted to pass on. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
