Gyno appointment

So the past few months (probably the past 6) I've had issues with random bleeding after orgasm (without penatration) some googling said this was normal so I just let it be. I've had irregular periods due to PCOS for as long as I can remember and can go months with no period and then when i was on it was heavy but only 3 days (alwyas been three days).  The last 3 months I've had long periods (weeks at a time) that have been very painful and heavy. Then the past month I've been getting bad clots (sorry for the tmi] but they where huge and concerning. Bleeding has been so heavy I've changed pads 3 times in an hour. I sent an econsult in and had a reply from the nurse saying she had put a prescription in the chemist (hadn't spoke to me). Luckily I had an appointment already booked with gp for another reason 10 days later. I explained my symptoms and the fact my last smear (3 years ago) was HPV positive with borderline changes and she agreed to do an exam the following week. - had my exam Monday and she said my cervix was very red and friable (fragile) and she was referring me to gyno. My appointment is next Wednesday but I'm unsure what to expect on a first appointment and I'm worried I'm going to get fobbed off as I have been before with doctors. Any advice? I haven't really shared much with family as they are worriers and I don't want to scare anyone until I know what's wrong. (Have told a couple of friends though) any advice?
