Hysteroscopy awaiting results. Wanted to hear others stories

Hi, I'm just gone 30. Please bare with as I'm horrible at explaining stuff!

I have various problems with periods, got alot worse after my second child (nearly 2 years ago).

I started periods again while breastfeeding (quite early, wasn't expecting it as I didn't have periods with my first for at least a year, I restarted when he was round 3 months old).

My periods are heavy I bleed thro alot, I double up constantly and they last for roughly 8 to 10 days.

I have horrific pelvic pain, ended up in walk in with it. Sometimes it's a cramping type pain (it's constant) back pain with it to, I lived with a heat pillow...

Other times when I walked it felt as if my pelvis was being torn apart (pushed outwards from the inside).

Oh my periods can also come every 2 weeks, usually I bleed on the 3rd week. Very short cycle. But sometimes I can jus come on within 2 weeks.

Had noticed leg swellings I put it down to having knee problems.

I sometimes have pain during sex and sometimes bleed but I put that down to re tearing.

I eventually got to a gynecologist, found on an external abdominal exam she could feel my uterus was swollen, my lining is thick, more then it should be when they did the ultrasound. I think it was 19 mm on the day after I came off my period.

Had hysteroscopy and she said she would do biopsy if needed.

Once she looked in the tone changed in her voice and she said "oh right I'm going to need the biopsy tools actually, get them ready"

The tone spent shivers down my spine. The fact she wasn't expecting to do one either sent my into over drive.

She said my cervix is bumpy, and she has took a few biopsies. I'm awaiting results and I'm just scared.

All I can think is having to leave my children alone and my step children alone.

I have no weight loss, infact I've put some on.

She inserted a coil and the pain seems to have died down. But I'm terrified.

Again non of this I had before my last child.

Om jus looking for others stories really and what not.

Sorry to waffle and bother anyone.

X

  • Hey hunni

Sorry you are going through so much worry!

I'm 40 (3 children) always suffered with very painful periods and ovulation. This process has gotten significantly worse and basically floors me each month, I dread the day!!

I experience leg pain regularly and it worsens during the run upto my cycle and during, to the point where I just can't stand, I'm curled up in a ball hugging a red hot water bottle ~ plus pill popping as often as possible.

I'm constantly running the toilet and it hurts my womb when releasing if I've held it for to long (mainly because I'm sick to death of going the toilet ️)

Anyway, 2nd GP appointment 3 months inbetween I spoke with a female doctor who ordered swobs and scans TV and Abdominal... Swobs came bk positive for BV which I was treated with antibiotics. Scans showed 17mm thickening 2 days post shedding, so like yourself, considered significant really!  & fibroid present.

I was given a biopsy there and then on my gynaecology appointment, to which hurt like hell, cried with fear and with pain... Got myself together and dusted myself off!  Took a good look at my sample (interesting)

I'm awaiting results now (4th Aug procedure done)

They said approximate wait is 4/6 wks, which is a long time to wait... Good days, consuming thought of the dreaded cancer being given days... Etc..

    My bloods were all good

I hope you are OK and can answers soon, best of luck xxx ️

  • Thank you for you reply! I hope all is well with yourself?
