Hello everyone. Just wanted some advice really. I get small amounts of blood on the toilet paper after doing my business. This isn't recent as it has been going on for some time to be honest, possible years, so there is that. I have been checking for a while and its only on the paper, not in the toilet and not on my business. In general I don't have any pain or discomfort but I have suffered from fissures in the past (that lasted a long time, coming and going). I should add I do get the odd itch sensation. This also might sound weird but it seems like the blood tends to come more from the sides when I wipe and not so much the centre, although I can't really confirm that.

I have been to my doctor and explained everything. He did have a look and said he suspects internal haemorrhoids, but he didn't do any internal investigation if you know what I mean. I was a little surprised he didn't as I fully expected him to going by my age and symptoms. I didn't really wanna ask as I assume he knows what he's doing.

So I was just wondering, should I still be concerned? Did the doctor do enough? The bleeding still happens but its not a regular thing (just on the paper). Thanks.
