Supraclavicular left lymph node

Hi, im new to the forum, but have found it super helpful so far, reading others stories.  i found a lump on my supraclavicualr region a few weeks back and my gp suspects it could be a lymph node so has referred me for an ulstrasound.   unfortuanaley ultrasounds are not part of the two week wait service on the nhs and i could be waiting months for the scan to come through.   as you can imagine im worried and just want a scan asap for reasurrance etc.

ive decided to pay privately for an ulstrasound, and i have my scan on monday.    my only other symptoms which i related to being potentially pre menopausal, are sweats, fatigue and a cough, and little bit of loss of appetite.

has anyone else here, been through the same?   id really like the support please xx

  • Hi Dani and welcome to the forum.

Many of our members have contended with suspicious lumps and lymph nodes in this area so you are not alone and I'm sure you will receive some support and advice from the community soon.

In the meantime, I just want to wish you all the best with your ultrasound tomorrow. I hope it goes well and the results show this isn't any cause for concern.

    Kind regards,

    UPDATE:

had them ultrasound and there was no swollen node in the area on either side but he could see physically there protrusion on my left supraclavcular area.  He thinks there may be something deeper in my chest potentially pushing up my supraclavcular area so I'm having a CT scan to of my chest investigate.

The radiologist also checked my thyroid and cervical nodes and found that my left thyroid gland is swollen with lots of nodes on it (multinodular goitre).   This explains my cough, clearing my throat all the time, my snoring and trouble with heartburn and swallowing. So I'm now having my bloods checked for thyroid dysfunction etc.

has anyone else when through something like this?    Any advice or words would be helpful.   Not going to lie, I am worried incase they find a mass or tumour etc in my chest.

  • UPDATE

So ive had my bloods done and all results came back normal except the liver function test which is being repeated.    Has anyone else had a thyroid goitre etc that hasnt shown up in thyroid blood tests???

also had my ulstrasound report and he believes i have a substeranl goitre so will need a ct scan to invetigate which i should be having end of this week or start of next.
