Waiting on results

Hi. I'm currently midway through a possible cancer diagnosis. My GP is checking for bowel cancer and I've had bloods done after she felt a lump in my stomach. I've had a scan and I'm currently waiting for the results to come back, I'm not sure how long this takes I've been told a few weeks but I don't know how long roughly that is. I am a little worried but I'm trying not to it's just difficult. I have work, I'm a personal assistant but I'm struggling to focus during the day and I have a little girl who needs looking after.

I'm still hopeful that what's happening isn't cancer. I'm just hanging on to that thought.

    I'm in the same position, as I think a lot of people are. I've been waiting 2 weeks for CT scan results now after an urgent referral and it's very worrying. I can relate to you not being able to focus, but I will say as time has gone on i've found my worrying has settled a little bit. I was told 1-2 weeks for results, and we're now at 2 weeks. How long have you been waiting so far? x

    Hello. I'm sorry you are going through the same but your right a lot of people are I read online a lot of people are waiting long times because the NHS is stretched at the moment. I hate waiting it brings a lot of anxiety with it. That's good your able to focus more, it's nearly been a week for me now come Friday so hopefully I'll be able to focus more then.
