I'm sorry to hear that your mum had a tumour that needed removal and that the news was delivered to you the way they were.

It's easy to understand why you're worried but maybe by the time your mum contacted you, she might not have had all the information on whether the tumour was something to worry about.

Hopefully, others who have been in a similar situation will come by with better advice but until they do try to stop looking up health-related matters on Google, it rarely helps and it usually ends up stressing us more.

Thanks for your message Renata and sorry for the delay in responding. It turned out that my mothers tumour was cancer, however it was stage 0 grade 1 which could be removed with no treatment needed. Her three month check up showed no further growths so very good news :). Hopefully she will keep me in the loop more in future.
