Can poylop/tumor grow in 18 months

I had hysteroscopy 18 months ago and biopsy and all came back clear. I had another hysteroscopy 6 days ago and the doc has said my utures is full of poylop/ possible tumors . He took 3 biopsy and removed a poylop for testing.

Can they grow that quickly.

Can you go from completely clear to full of something that quickly.

Currently waiting on results. Going out of my mind .

I have posted recently but hoping to get others advice or experience.

  • Hello Lillymay

I'm sorry to hear that your hysteroscopy last week has resulted in you needing some biopsies and that they removed a polyp for testing. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about things at the moment.

We know that for many people this period of waiting for test results can be really difficult. Often people find it helpful to talk to someone about their concerns and how they're feeling and I wonder if you might find it useful to chat with one of our team of nruses? They'll be happy to talk things through with you and offer any advice and reassurance that they can. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope that you have your results soon and that the Dr is able to give you some good news.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello Lillymay

I'm sorry to hear that the biopsy showed some further testing is needed and that you're now waiting for a surgery date.

The waiting can be difficult and now you have the added uncertainty of your biopsy results to manage as well.

Do give our team of nurses a call if you need to chat with them at any point. I'm sure they will be happy to listen and offer any support that they can.

I hope that you have your surgery date soon. Keep in touch and let us know how things go.

    Best wishes,
