Scared I’ve got brain tumour

So I've been having on and off headaches for the last 2 - 3 months. Been to the drs, a&e countless times with these symptoms as well as chest pains, dizziness, feeling sick, floaters, pins and needles in left arm.. and they don't seem to think it's anything.

I've convinced myself that I've got a brain tumour and now I can't even sleep at night and keep having panic attacks. I have been referred for a CT scan just awaiting the letter to see when it is. Has anyone had similar and turned out okay?

can't stop stressing and I can't sleep due to this and I know I won't be able to rest until I get the results :(

i also have an almost 5 year old and 18 month old and I'm 24 years old . Just us living in our flat and just so worried

  • Hello AMustafa

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some ongoing health concerns over the past few months. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious but it's good to hear that so far the Dr's you've seen haven't found any immediate cause for cancer. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the CT scan and the results will give your  GP a better idea about what may be causing your symptoms.

We know that this period of uncertainty and waiting can be difficult for many people, and it's natural to feel worried. Unfortunately, this anxiety often leaves people feeling worse. I'd suggest looking at this information on the NHS website about managing health anxiety whilst you're waiting for news. If you'd like to talk to one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

I do hope you have some answers soon and that things improve for you.

    Best wishes,
    Jenn
