Gynaecology oncology 1st Appointment

Hi....!

So I'm 40, I've been experiencing extremely bad periods, to which floored me every month. I experience excruciating cramps, pains in my legs, rectum area, back and more recently I am loosing flesh like tissue.

Initially a few months ago my doctor prescribed naproxin, which made me ill/offside... These did take the edge off but the aliments where still there!

I have have to upped my taxpon to full flow (orange & green) for the 1st few days, meaning this has also increased.

More recently I contacted my GPS again and spoke with a female doctor, she ordered an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound. The GPS contacted me to say book an appointment it's important! So I did... The closest appointment being 3weeks away!!! (can anyone even wait a day to know what's going on?)

I pushed for a quicker gp telephone call, which was the next few days! I spoke with a gp who confirmed fibroids and a substantially thickened lining of the womb. I've been fast tracked to gynaecology oncology and am awaiting my appointment on 4th August. The gp said because of possible cancer.

I honestly don't know what to think, if it wasn't cancer would it just be gynaecology or is it cancer... Do I just have to wait??? I'm in limbo and beginning to feel the effects of panic and worry! I am a single mummy to 3 kids.

To say I'm in silent stress mode just doesn't cut it! Can someone shed some light on what my 1st appointment is about or will be like for suspected Endometrial cancer/womb cancer.. I'm fed up of reading.

TIA... A stressed momma xx ️

  • I went to the gynaecology oncology clinic l was examined by the doctor, more bloods taken and MRI and ultrasounds arranged, the following appointment with the surgeon was to book my operation. The operation was quite extensive due to adhesions from previous surgery. I'm glad I had the operation as complex ovarian cysts can be precancerous, try to relax easier said than done. I hope you have a simple op and all is well afterwards.

  • Hi

Thank you for responding, so did you not know what was wrong with you at all??? I'm more concerned as its an oncology appointment & basically in the dark... Feel like I'm trying every which way possible to diognose myself! Stupid I know, however, I'm just so impatient & need my life in order, I start a new job in September, which is also worrying me on top of all this.

    Thanks again x
