Freckle on sole of child’s foot

My 5 year old daughter had developed what looks like a freckle of sorts on the sole of her foot.  I thought it an unusual place to have one so of course googled it and have now worried myself.  It's not massive or anything but is certainly the largest freckle she has.  It's not completely round shaped, it's slightly jagged around the edges.  It appears to be smooth and not raised at all.
Is it something that I should see our GP about?

  • Hello Green-girl16 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

It's normal for any parent to worry and unfortunately looking things up on Google rarely provides reassurance. If you are concerned, it's definitely worth talking to your GP about it and this will definitely be a more reliable way to know what this freckle could be than researching it online. So I think it wouldn't hurt to give your doctor's surgery a call and to mention that you are concerned about it. Don't hesitate to ask whether they could take a look at it or if you could send them a picture.

I hope that you can talk to your GP soon and that  it all turns out to be nothing of concern.

    Best wishes,
