I had a Hysteroscopy and biopsies done a couple of days ago. Before the procedure the doctor said she didn't anticipate seeing anything odd, even though my ultrasound said I had a thick lining of 19mm. As soon as she had got into my womb with the camera it felt like she almost panicked from what she saw and needed to do a biopsy straight away and then quite a few more as she was looking around.

I got upset whilst it was being done because I felt the atmosphere in the room change and I just got a sense of dread. Once it had finished the doctor barely said much other than 'it doesn't look innocent'. Which I'm sure most people would take as meaning the worst. I ended up crying again and she basically just didn't say much else. I then said I'd left it too long before going the GP with it and she just said nothing which made me think it must have looked so bad what she saw. 
She's sent the biopsies off for urgent testing but said it could be 3-4 weeks before I hear anything. How long did you results take? Feel like im going crazy with worry, but just like you it felt as though that was the doctors way of preparing me for the worst news.
I'm only 34 so I don't think my GP or the gynaecologist really thought initially it would be anything sinister, and we don't know for sure yet, but the feeling in the room after the procedure felt different for sure.

Hi Meg, I don't know if you noticed but my post was July. I do hope you are feeling a little more positive. I was diagnosed with early endometrial cancer and had a full hysterectomy in late August. I have since had the all clear. Its really scary but the vast majority of us 'only' need surgery. I had no other treatment. I am not 3 months post op and almost back to my normal self. Yer I did see it was from July, it's just your post stood out as most similar to mine in terms of what the doctor hinted at. How long did your results take to come back from your biopsy? I'm just hoping I don't have to wait 3-4 weeks, the anxiety is unbearable and it's only been 2 days since the procedure.

I was told 2-3 weeks but I had the Hysterocopy on the wednesday and the consultant who did the biopsy phoned me on friday. I was told i had the most commin type that doesn't spread easy and they felt it was contained within the womb. Then from monday it was a constant round of calls getting me booked in for CT, MRI, blood tests etc. It all moved gery fast. I have everything crossed for you but I do think you need to be prepared for the possible outcome, having said that it is very likely to be a relatively easy fix, if you call surgery easy!
