Colonoscopy Biopsy Results

Hi I was wondering if anyone has experienced a long waiting time for biopsy results. I had my colonoscopy 6 weeks ago & haven't heard anything back yet. I called the hospital & they said the results would have went to my gp so I called them & they said they would get back to me but I'm still waiting. Just hate this waiting game.

    I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting on biopsy results at the moment. We know that for many people the period of waiting can be difficult and it's understandable that you may be feeling anxious. 

    Many people have posted on the forum about the length of time that they've waited for biopsy results. Unfortunately, Covid continues to have a knock-on effect on many waiting times. If your GP is due to receive the results then do get back in touch with them again. Hopefully, they will have some news and be able to update you with the results. 

    I do hope that someone is able to give you some reassurance soon.
