Swollen thyroid and lymph nodes

Hi,

I think I'm doing what everyone does when they are desperate for answers. The dreaded google.

A few months ago, I noticed a 4cm lump on my thyroid. I went from being massively active, to struggling to get through a day without 2-3 naps, and massively itchy armpits. I went to see my GP, who referred me to ENT. And took bloods. The bloods came back with low b12 and folate. But my Thyroid levels were normal and sugars etc. my ENT has referred me for an ultrasound but in the last 2 weeks I've been having drenching night sweats, flushed red face, and more lymph nodes have become swollen in my neck. My hands are also trembling constantly, no matter what I do. More blood tests show my thyroid levels are ok. I should also mention I've lost a lot of weight. Not intentionally

what is wrong with me, I just want to feel normal again! Has anyone else experienced this?

  • A warm welcome to the forum TLH11 although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us.

I know this must be scary, especially as you've noticed more symptoms appearing over the last two weeks, but hopefully it won't be long until your ultrasound appointment comes through and you're a step closer to getting some answers and peace of mind.

Our members know how tough it can be to contend with unexplained symptoms and the wait for answers so you are not alone and hopefully some of them will be along to offer your their support and advice.

In the meantime, if the symptoms you've noticed recently don't improve or continue to get worse do be sure to let your GP know.

We're thinking of you TLH11 and will have our fingers crossed everything turns out o.k.

    All the best,

  • Hi there. I hope you don't mind me asking but did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have awful itchy armpits and can't get lymphoma out of my head xx
