What does that mean?

Hi all,

My husband had a biopsy done on 9th of July. The doctors found a tumor on his vertebrae and it was pressing the spinal cord which left him almost paralysed as any time we would to the hospital they would send us back home with ibuprofen cream because they refused to do an MRI over one year.

We have not received his results yet and I am extremely scared as it's been more than 10 days and all test are coming back negative. He is only 23 and is doing physio to get the strength back on his legs as he is not able to walk without help.

I don't know how to keep calm, this is killing me.

  • A warm welcome to the forum Veroniicaah although I'm very sorry to hear about the tumour that was found on your husband's vertebrae.

I know this must be very scary but I'm glad you've joined us as our community know how difficult this time can be, so you are not alone, and hopefully some of our members will be along soon to offer you their support and advice.

I also hope the advice given in this article on how to cope with waiting for news will help to steady your nerves but if you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

We'll have our fingers crossed the results bring good news when they come through.

    Best wishes to you both,
