High risk HPV positive with CIN 2 after 14 years of negative

I have had regular smear tests since I was 18, I'm now 31 and until this year nothing has ever come up on one of my tests. This year I tested positive for high grade HPV and I don't understand how, I've been with the same partner for 14 years and prior to that always used protection. I have a fear that my partner must have slept with someone else as I just can't understand how I would get it now after all these years
