Possible CLL diagnoses

Recently had a routine blood test which showed raised WBC of 15. Blood smear done and showed abnormal cells. Saw haematologist more bloods done WBC now 20 and leuk 13. Obviously concerned been told all other bloods are ok. Do not know how to feel or think. I'm been told it's ok - no swollen lymph's or spleen. As far as I know. Will be speaking to specialist in 3 weeks due to been referred to on a 2 week wait. That worries me too. Awaiting confirmation of cancer diagnosis.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sure you're feeling concerned and I know the uncertainty and waiting is never easy. It sounds like you've received some reassurance so far - I hope it's not too long to wait until the appointment and the information you need.

    Try to keep yourself distracted from the worry by keeping busy and focusing on things you enjoy as much as possible, and take things one day at a time.

    Did you find out what caused it? I have high wbc and neutrophil but with lump in neck

    Waiting is the absolute worst but I can assure you that worrying and even worse googling won't alter the results at all and will only make you feel worse and possibly conjure up some symptoms that don't exist. Until a medical professional tells you that they have the results and you have cancer. YOU DONT. Relax as best you can and let's look for positive results for you :happy:
