  • Hello loopylou67,

I just wanted to wish your husband the best of luck for his biopsy and CT-scan next week. It's normal to be worried as you are waiting to find out more but it's good that they are looking into this now after he experienced pain in his throat for a couple of months.

Try if you can though not to anticipate what it might be or fear the worst as there are so many things it could be other than cancer. It is tempting, for example, in a situation like this to look things up on Google but this will only make you feel more anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their CT scan and biopsy experiences with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • I'm sorry the news your husband received wasn't what you were hoping for Loopylou.

The good thing is it's been found now and hopefully it won't be long until you know exactly what you're dealing with.

You can find out more about head and neck cancers on our website but if you'd prefer to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I know this must be very scary but our community are here for you and will hopefully be along soon to offer their support and advice.
