Urgent Referral

Hello I seen my GP on Monday due to rapid 7 day change to a freckle that now has doubled in size and looks dark black and odd compared to the rest. I've been sent for an urgent refferal and have an appointment on Thursday at the hospital. I don't know how worried I should be but given that the hospital phoned me this morning (Tue) and offered an appointment on Thursday this seems really quick. 

How worried should I be if at all?

Thanks all. Bit new to all these things. I'm 31/f with fair skin and lots of normal freckles.

    I'm sorry no-one was able to get back to you before you went for your appointment today, but I hope it has gone well and you have been able to get some answers and peace of mind.

    Many of our members have contended with similar freckles/moles so they will know what you're going through at the moment and will hopefully be along soon to offer their support and advice.
