I'm sorry to hear the lump has grown Lauren but it's good you told your GP and now have an urgent referral.

Hopefully an appointment will come through soon but whilst you wait you're very welcome to give our team of cancer nurses a call if you'd like to get a better idea of what may happen at the clinic. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and will do all they can to help.

I'm sure some of our members will share their experiences and advice with you soon as well but in the meantime, I hope the advice given on this page will help keep your nerves at bay.

I am also on the 2WW Haemotology refferal. I had my first appointment a couple of weeks ago.

They went through a load of general health questions, symptoms, family history etc.. as well as telling you any findings in the blood (sounds like you already have been told but they will go through this)

The doctor also did a physical examination on my nodes (just felt them) and has now referred me for a CT scan.

Obviously you sitiuation may be different but just letting you know my experience.

Thank you so much for this, you've helped me with what to expect on the initial appointment so thank you. Do you have any idea how long it will be before you have your CT scan? Sending you lots of well wishes and I hope everything is ok. 

I got my CT scan about a week after the appointment so it was quick. Haven't heard anything about my results until my next appointment on Wednesday.

I had my haematology appointment and have been referred for a CT scan, biopsy and ultrasound. My CT is on Tuesday next week.

The CT scan showed nothing of concern so I have been discharged from haematology and taken off the 2WW. Such a relief.
