Anyone experience this? Pelvic area.

I've had continuous severe pelvic pain for a year and a half. I'm nauseous, painful to fill bladder, strange smelling pee, fatigue, and bloating. I can feel my left ovary on fire when I cough or walk.

I've had multiple pelvic ultrasounds, one abdominal, a chest X-ray, within this year and they were all normal. Before I had another condition that required blood work and multiple X-rays of my knees and back.

All have came back clear, except my CBC which slowed a platelet count of 448.

has anyone experienced this before? i fear that I may get an unfavorable diagnoses, but they do not seem concerned with no family history or anything on my images.

  • I'm sorry about the pain and symptoms you've been having Nissa. It sounds like you've had a lot ot contend with but it's encouraging to see that the results of the tests you've had have come back normal.

I know it must be frustrating not having any answers just yet but hopefully your doctor/medical team can get to the bottom of this for you. If you feel like your worries or concerns are not being taken seriously then you could try getting a second opinion.

Hopefully some of our members will offer their support and advice to you soon but if you'd like to discuss your situation with one of our nurses, they're just a phone call away on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,

  • Hello Nissamarie, although I'm now nearly 74 years old I can remember having terrible pain in my pelvic area and it was so severe that I would faint at work and fall off my typing chair!  But like you no one had any clue as to what was causing it.  I always had really heavy periods and they put it down to that but I was only 24 years old then so they did nothing. Fast forward ten years and I was finally diagnosed with fibroids which were now so bad that I had to have a full hysterectomy.  So maybe get a second opinion as suggested by our lovely moderator or maybe ask if you could have fibroids, they tend to cause major pain and are often overlooked as I found out many years ago.  I hope you feel better soon and get some answers to your horrible situation.  Best wishes, Carol
