I am 37 male for two years I have noticed discomfort around the prostate and testicles area with weaker urine stream.
I was aware there is PSA test I can buy online to check the PSA level so I bought two of them.
I have done the test as instructed and I was pretty sure that it will come negative and I did for a kind of reassurance but surprisingly it comes positive and it indicates more than 10ng/ml in both tests so I contacted the surgery to speak to my GP and got a call back 2 hours later.
My GP ordered blood and urine test and asked me to book an appointment for prostate examination which I am going to do all this week.
I have read a lot of information online and most of it is reassuring that the prostate cancer is very rare in people younger than 40 but I wanted to know when PSA level becomes worrying? and what does psa level 10ng/ml or more mean?
Many thanks
