Hello my name is Emma - I am 32 years old and I am a Nurse by profession.
My partner is 28 and found to have a lump on their back for over a year which has now caused pain and discomfort. They finally decided to seek medical advice on this after months of my pressuring (typical nurses eh).
Had an ultra sound on the 26th of June 2022 - called the next day to explain that needed firther investigtion and referal to sarcoma unit would be made. Urgent Bloods were requested and taken the next day also. 4th of July 2022 call from sarcoma unit nurses stating options and that MRI and potential biopsy would occur and then plans made. Same day phone call from MRI booked in for the 6th of July at 3.20. This has all been done and just awaiting results and next action..
Now as ive stated I am a nurse by profession and even for me this seems to be moving at a very quick pace in terms of getting all of this done so im growing more and more concerned that the degree of it being a sarcoma is most likely then not and I am trying to process this while my partner is taking it step by step.
Am i wrong in thinking this or is the speed of this at which its happening "normal" for this type of situation?
